My mum has been nudging me in that direction for quite some time.
I have just spent the last hour perusing my literary works.
And personally, I don't think any of my work is good enough to be "officially" published.
My mum would beg to differ.
But, I think with some tweaking I might be open to the possibility.
So don't be surprised if one morning you open up your door, grab the paper, and see my face on it with the head line reading... "One Writes Overnight Success"........
..... Ok. Maybe not.
But, hey.
Anything is possible.

I have a couple of books to recommend : TAKE JOY by Jane Yolen, and CIRCLE OF QUIET by Madeline L'Engle. I may have given Circle of Quiet to your mom -- ask her. I think you should AIM at publishing. I think your writing has exactly the right qualities. and ... yes, if you think it isn't ready yet, that is fine. All that means is you want to work on it more. It should NOT make you think "I am not good enough". So read more (reading is enormous help in great writing: actual studies have been done) and write and then write and then write and then write some more. All my favorite authors say that: write!
